Artist Statement:
Feeling Trapped explores the emotions of being controlled and restricted. The red machine stitching represents invisible boundaries that hold the body in place, while the shadows suggest the emotional weight that is often unseen. This work was my first experiment using machine stitching, marking the beginning of my exploration of thread as both a visual and symbolic material.
